Wilson and Hunter, the founders of Ezra’s Coffee in Southern California, are no strangers to the specialty coffee scene. After years of working in and being inspired by the coffee community, they decided to launch their own project—a mobile espresso bar aimed at fostering connections and giving back to their community. At the heart of their business? The Sanremo Zoe Compact.
The Zoe Compact has been a game-changer for their events-based coffee cart. “For us at Ezra’s Coffee, we are an events-based business where we take our specialty coffee cart on the road. Because of our business model, we found the Zoe Compact to be the perfect fit, and since using it, it has well exceeded our expectations. For the price, I don’t think I have come across a better machine that fits coffee shop-quality machinery in the size that it is.”
For Wilson and Hunter, reliability is key, especially when catering to high-volume events. “We chose the Zoe Compact because we wanted reliability for high-volume events. While working a large wedding, I have confidently run both groupheads and both steam wands of the Zoe Compact on a generator, proving its ability to function on the go with speed and accuracy.” This ability to perform efficiently, even under pressure, has made the Zoe Compact a trusted partner in their business. “I have worked other coffee carts on other espresso machines that are not able to keep up with a line efficiently in the same way the Zoe can.”
Ezra’s Coffee isn’t just about mobility, though. Wilson and Hunter see the Zoe as a machine that will evolve with their business. “Overall, we love that Zoe can go from our coffee cart on the go or be transferred into a real coffee shop that we hope to open someday. It has never failed to keep up with the high demands of events, and as far as quality goes, I prefer the espresso that we pull on the Zoe more than most specialty shops in my SoCal area.”
Their enthusiasm for the Zoe goes beyond its functionality—it’s about the future. “We are big fans and hope to continue working with Sanremo in the future as we grow and develop as a business!
